What’s included?

CD with Microsoft Word documents as follows:
The script (print off as many as you like within the purchasing establishment)
Words of all the songs. These are printed as they appear in the script and also as a separate file in case you want to run some off independently.
Character notes and notes o­n costumes.
A list of props
A template for your programme, saving you hours of work! (Just type in the names of your cast etc and print as many programmes as you like.) The programme comes as a Microsoft Publisher file .
Radio Mic information. When to swap soloists’ mics.
Notes on the music with rehearsal hints etc.

Practice CD. Backing tracks with children singing the songs.
Performance CD. Backing tracks o­nly, to be used in rehearsals and performances.
DVD of a full performance giving you ideas for direction, costumes and choreography. 
Unlike hired musicals there is no extra licence fee to perform Water Babies.
You don’t need to hire a band.
You don’t even need to be able to play the piano or read music.

Amplification

Chorus and dialogue does not need amplification, although it’s fun to amplify the offstage voice of Mr Grimes in Act 1 scene 1.
We hired 2 radio microphones to amplify soloists. Two works fine. I have written in the script where soloists need to hand over mics to each other to save you having to work it out.
 
I have put o­n Water Babies twice – o­nce using a very simple set o­n a school stage, and o­nce in a theatre using a more elaborate set. This is the o­ne shown o­n the DVD. Both worked really well.
